Avni Yerli, managing director of Crytek, talks GDC Europe, 3D Gaming and real-time prototyping

Crytek logoWe catch up with Avni Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek, to get a sneak peak on what Crytek will be talking about and showcasing at GDC Europe, Aug 16-18, in Cologne, Germany.

Avni Yerli

Q: As you get ready to attend GDC Europe this month, tell me why you feel it's worth the time and effort and expense to participate.

Avni Yerli: After last year, Crytek is once again sponsoring Europe's biggest event for developers where they will see great innovations and fantastic tools and technologies -- and we are very proud of that. So you are effectively experiencing new hardware as if you upgraded your computer even though we haven't made a single adjustment in the game. But it can run on your iPad, your Xbox, inside Facebook, anywhere that can accept streaming video. You can start playing a game on your iPad while you're eating your cornflakes in the kitchen and then walk into the living room and continue playing on your TV. That's the vision – the game goes with you wherever you go...
