Tote Bag Insert - $6,000

Specifications: No larger than 8.5"x11" single sheet of double sided paper. Consumable products, food, beverages, liquids, bracelets, stickers, breakable objects, magazines and booklets are PROHIBITED. CDs and DVDs are allowed. All tote bag inserts are subject to show management approval.

Expo Floor Competition - $35,000

Engage the GDC audience, developers and press by hosting your own competition on the Expo Floor, in association with the GDC. Winners will receive GDC Main Conference passes. Your competition will be heavily promoted through the GDC’s event marketing channels.

Competition Format:

  • The competition is located on the Expo Floor, and runs the days of the Expo and subject to Expo Floor hours.
  • The Sponsor has complete creative control over the competition details and format. The GDC recommends that the sponsor set specific competition times each day when attendees can compete. The competition times and details will be marketed to GDC attendees.
  • Registration is handled by sponsor. GDC recommends on-site registration at the competition booth
  • Prizes: Overall winner each day will receive a GDC Main Conference Pass to any GDC event of their choosing. The GDC recommends the sponsor also gives out prizes each day.

Casual Games Competition - $55,000

Host a Casual Gaming competition on the GDC Expo Floor and award prizes to the winners.  The sponsor will have full control over the format of the Casual Games competition with heavy marketing and promotion from the GDC to drive attendees and create buzz throughout the game development community.

Competition Format:

  • The competition is located on the Expo Floor, and runs the days of the Expo and is subject to Expo Floor hours.
  • The Sponsor has creative control over the format of the competition. Suggestion: Each day set specific competition times with respect to specific games, where developers can compete against each other head to head or simply compete for the top overall score of the day.

GDC Sponsored Sessions provide interested parties the opportunity to have an intimate conversation with the influential game developer community. Sponsors can customize the session content to show how their product or service can improve the game creation process. The GDC conference management team is happy to consult with you to ensure that your message is communicated in an effective and targeted manner.

Add GDC Vault taping to extend the life and reach of your Sponsored Sessions. The GDC Team will professionally record the content and host it online post-event at GDC Vault, where you will collect the leads of everyone who opts in to view the sponsored session.

Full Day Developer Day - $56,500 or $71,500 with GDC Vault Taping

Present a full-day of session content to the developer community, using speakers from your company and partners, tailoring topics to drive home your message to this influential audience.

Add GDC Vault taping to extend the life and reach of your Developer Day . The GDC Team will professionally record the content and host it online post-event at GDC Vault, where you will collect the leads of everyone who opts-in to views the sponsored session.

Room Information:

  • Set-up can begin starting at 6pm the evening prior to the Developer Day.
  • GDC operations will order two– 8'x18" tables and four chairs for outside of the room to be used for assembly/registration tables.
  • Sponsor can begin computer setup in the room at 6:00pm on the evening prior to the Developer Day.
  • Sponsor can bring locks for these rooms.

Content:

Sponsor to create full day of session content and speaker lineup. Note: speakers must be employees or partners of the sponsoring company. Sponsor promotion of the Dev Day must follow the GDC rules and regulations.

Marketing:

  • Sponsor Developer Day will be promoted on Gdconf.com Developer Day page (content to go live within 1 week after sponsor provides). Listing includes 100 word description, and link to full day's content lineup within GDC's Session Scheduler.
  • Each individual session listed on GDConf.com gets a 50 word description and 50 word speaker bios.
  • Sponsor Developer Day will receive homepage promotion on GDConf.com feature viewer.
  • One (1) interview in Join the Game Network Newsletter. Timing based on availability. See archive here
  • Sponsor Developer Day will be included in a story on Gamasutra.com prior to show. Availability based on sign-on date.
  • Sponsor Developer Day will be listed in a minimum of one (1) GDC Update e-newsletter highlighting Developer Days. Based on sign-on date and availability.
  • One (1) Tote bag insert included in GDC tote bag: See guidelines here
  • One (1) spinning tower banner. Production included. Sponsor to send artwork by TBD.

  • One (1) 160x600 banner on GDConf.com
  • Featured blog post on GDConf.com promoting Developer Days
  • One (1) Branded micro app or survey on GDC Mobile App (appears on home menu screen with the "event brand" icons). Micro app icon can appear as company logo and link to mobile friendly webpage. Note: GDC Show Management can create a mobile friendly page promoting your booth/sponsored session if needed.
  • One (1) custom badge on GDC Mobile App to promote Dev Day.

Registration:

  • GDC will assume responsibility for Dev Day registration. Game developers will be admitted to the sponsors Developer Day by purchasing an All Access pass or Summits, Bootcamps Pass through GDC registration.
  • Should the sponsor want to hand out special Developer Day bags, GDC will offer the services of our CAs (Conference Assistants) in inserting up to five pieces in the bags provided by the sponsor. CAs will also assist with the distribution of the Dev Day bags at the door of the classroom. All materials for bags must be received at the advance warehouse to ensure timely coordination of bag distribution.
  • Sponsor receives 2 AA passes or 4 Main Conference passes
  • Sponsored session speakers get registered with Expo passes, and receive a Presenters Ribbon, which allows access to the Full Day Dev Day. Sponsor can upgrade Expo Passes to All Access or Main Conference Passes at 25% discount. Sponsored session speakers must be part of Sponsoring company or partnering company.

Operations:

  • Standard conference AV set is provided. Additional AV needs will be at sponsors cost. GDC Operations staff will coordinate A/V needs with all Dev Day speakers and work with sponsor on set up, move in, rehearsal and move out for Dev Days. GDC requires that specifications for set up of the Dev Days be communicated at least 3 weeks prior to GDC.
  • Sponsor will work with GDC conference operations to make sure everything is ordered correctly. GDC will provide sponsor with an Autocad drawing of this room two months prior to move in.
  • GDC will pay for minimum electrical needs to cover the standard AV in the Dev Day Room, additional electrical can be ordered by show management at the Sponsor's expense. Sponsor will notify GDC of these needs no later than 30 days before move-in.
  • Internet is not included in the Dev Day room. Internet can be ordered by show management at the Sponsors expense. Sponsor will notify GDC of internet needs no later than 30 days before move-in.
  • GDC ops team will assist in freight coordination for Sponsor's Dev Day (all freight should be shipped to sponsors booth/expo suite where it can be sorted and distributed). GDC operations will coordinate with GES to move freight to session rooms.
  • The sponsor will have two CAs available to assist them with the Dev Day and their workshops at the session room.
