Hosting a contest on your website? Sponsoring the "GDC Experience" allows you to run your contest in association with the GDC and give the winner the "GDC Experience Grand Prize". The GDC will market your contest heavily through our print, online and event channels to ensure your contest is a smashing success!
Contest Format:
- The sponsor hosts the contest on its website and has complete creative control over the format (GDC will act in a consulting role). The GDC will heavily promote the contest through its online, print and event channels
- Registration/Judging: the sponsor has complete control over registration and judging. The GDC will drive developers to the registration site through several marketing initiatives reaching over 100,000 developers worldwide

Expo Floor Competition - $25,000
Engage the GDC audience, developers and press by hosting your own competition on the expo floor, in association with the GDC. Winners will receive GDC Main Conference passes. Your competition will be heavily promoted through the GDC’s online, print and event marketing channels.
Competition Format:
- The competition is located on the expo floor, and runs Thurs, March 11th – Sat, March 13th. Open during expo hours.
- The Sponsor has complete creative control over the competition details and format. The GDC recommends that the sponsor set specific competition times each day when attendees can compete. The competition times and details will be heavily marketed to GDC attendees.
- Registration is handled by sponsor. GDC recommends onsite registration at the competition booth

Casual Games Competition - $30,000
Host a Casual Gaming competition on the GDC Expo Floor and award prizes to the winners. The sponsor will have full control over the format of the Casual Games competition with heavy marketing and promotion from the GDC to drive attendees and create buzz throughout the game development community.
Competition Format:
- The competition is located on the expo floor, and runs all 3 days of the expo (March 11, 12 and 13) during expo hours
- The Sponsor has creative control over the format of the competition. Suggestion: Each day set specific competition times with respect to specific games, where developers can compete against each other head to head or simply compete for the top overall score of the day.
- Top scorers are awarded prizes from host site (examples: site currency/points/membership benefits, etc.)

Game Night Trivia - $25,000
Test developer's game industry knowledge. A rousing night of intellectual fun, Game Trivia Night is crowd pleaser and brain teaser!
Date: Friday, March 12th
Location: W Hotel
Time: 8-10pm
Trivia Format:
- The event will be held Friday, March 12th at 7pm at the W Hotel
- Sponsor will have creative control over the Trivia Night Format. Suggestion: 4 Teams with 5 developers per team and 3 rounds of Trivia. 1st round pits Team 1 vs Team 2. 2nd Round pits Team 3 vs Team 4. 3rd and final round pits the winning teams against each other.
- Sponsor has complete control over registration with assistance from GDC marketing initiatives. Suggestion: Require the registration of "Teams" to be from the same company. Example, Microsoft registers its team of 5, Sony registers its Team of 5, which pits Company vs Company and would create additional buzz. GDC will place a Registration Callout Box on the GDC Event Descriptions page with a link to the sponsors website or email for sign-ups.
- Registration can also be done on-site at the sponsors booth or at W Hotel prior to event if necessary.
- Sponsor has creative control over trivia questions, though community participation is encouraged. GDC will set up a Trivia Question Submission Box on the GDC Website Event Description page where developers can submit questions for possible use. Submission box will link to sponsors email.

GDC Sponsored Sessions provide interested parties the opportunity to have an intimate conversation with the influential game developer community. Sponsors can customize the session content to show how their product or service can improve the game creation process. The GDC conference management team is happy to consult with you to ensure that your message is communicated in an effective and targeted manner.
Session Includes*:
- One (1) Small, Medium, or Large room set theater style for all one hour sessions.
- Listing on gdconf.com includes*: session title, company name, 50-word session description, track, speaker, 50-word speaker bio, date/time/location.

Full Day Tutorial/Developer Day - $25,000
Present a full-day tutorial with full control over session content, speakers, and topics so you can drive home your message to this influential audience.
Date: Tuesday or Wednesday, March 9th / 10th
Location: Convention Center, Room TBD
Classroom Capacity: Approx. 75 classroom, 130 theater
Room Information:
- Set-up can begin starting at 6pm the evening prior to the Tutorial/Developer Day.
- GDC operations will order two– 8'x18" tables and four chairs for outside of the room to be used for assembly/registration tables.
- Sponsor can begin computer setup in the room at 6:00pm on the evening prior to the Tutorial/Developer Day.
- Sponsor can bring locks for these rooms.
Content:
Sponsor will have full control over the content/ message delivered to the development community in this sponsored venue.

- Website exposure for the Dev Day Sponsored Tutorials (includes 100 words of text).
- Sponsor Tutorial/Developer Day will be promoted via a tote bag insert and via online banner on www.gdconf.com.
- Post-tutorial list usage – Sponsor will have access to one-time use of the list of game developers who attended the Dev Day sponsored tutorials.
Registration:
- The GDC will assume responsibility for Dev Day registration. Game developers will be admitted to the sponsors Developer Day by purchasing an All Access pass or Tutorial Only Pass through GDC registration.
- Should the sponsor want to hand out special Developer Day bags, GDC will offer the services of our CAs (Conference Assistants) in inserting up to five pieces in the bags provided by the sponsor. CAs will also assist with the distribution of the Dev Day bags at the door of the classroom. All materials for bags must be received at the advanced warehouse to ensure timely coordination of bag distribution.
Operations:
- GDC Operations staff will coordinate A/V needs with all Dev Day speakers. Operations staff will also work with sponsor on set up, move in, rehearsal and move out for Dev Day sponsored tutorials. GDC requires that specifications for set up of the Dev Day tutorials be communicated at least 3 weeks prior to GDC.
- Sponsor will work with GDC conference operations to make sure everything is ordered correctly. GDC will provide sponsor with an Autocad drawing of this room two months prior to move in.
- GDC will pay for minimum electrical needs to cover the standard AV in the Dev Day Room, additional electrical can be ordered by show management at the Sponsor's expense. Sponsor will notify GDC of these needs no later than 30 days before move-in.
- Internet is not included in the Tutorial/Dev Day room. Internet can be ordered by show management at the Sponsors expense. Sponsor will notify GDC of internet needs no later than 30 days before move-in.
- GDC ops team will assist in freight coordination for Sponsor's Dev Day (all freight should be shipped to sponsors booth/expo suite where it can be sorted and distributed). GDC operations will coordinate with GES to move freight to session rooms.
- Dev Day speakers will receive GDC lunch tickets.
- The sponsor will have two CAs available to assist them with the tutorial and their workshops at the session room.
