gdcplayThe Game Developers Conference®-- the world’s longest running and largest professionals only event dedicated to game development -- introduces GDC Play as a unique opportunity for emerging developers to showcase their games to fellow GDC attendees.

Showcase Games
Inspired by the success of the Independent Games Festival Pavilion at GDC, the new initiative will include space in special Pavilions themed around emerging game markets. GDC Play allows exhibitors to display their games to key distributors, publishers, press and investors visiting the conference. GDC Play Pavilions for social & online, smartphone & tablet, and independent games will all be located within a dedicated room and include a networking lounge with seating areas for more in-depth meetings.

GDC 2012 will also host an exclusive, invitation-only event to showcase the games at GDC Play. The guest list will include GDC Play exhibitors, sponsors, select publishers and members of the press, investors & other decision makers.

When signing up for GDC Play, which is open to a range of emerging developers showcasing playable games, game creators will be given a standalone kiosk with a monitor, keyboard, speakers and Internet connection, as applicable. This makes it an incredibly simple, low-cost opportunity to exhibit titles to prospective business partners, investors and the press.

GDC Business Matchmaking
GDC Play participants have access to the official GDC Business Matchmaking software—the catalyst for business at GDC. Request and receive meetings from major publishers, All-Access Pass holders and exhibitors attending the event.

GDC Play VIP Reception (exclusive) - $30,000


GDC 2012 will host an exclusive, invitation-only event to showcase the games at GDC Play.  The guest list will include GDC Play exhibitors, sponsors, select publishers and members of the press, investors & other decision makers. Invitations will be sent out directly by show management.
Pre-Event Exposure:

  • Event listing, company logo and 50 word description on the GDC Play page of GDConf.com
  • Sponsorship title, company logo and 50 word description on GDConf.com Sponsors page
  • Inclusion of one GDC Update ad slot with logo and 50 word ad copy sent to 60,000 GDC subscribers. Ad slot placement is based on date of sponsorship signed and availability
  • Logo inclusion on invitation signup page as well electronic invitations sent out by show management (if applicable)
  • Offering full business matchmaking with a special software solution for registrants, allowing you to request and receive meetings from major publishers, All-Access Pass holders and exhibitors attending the event.

Reception Exposure:

  • Tabletop during reception (includes one 6ft draped table, 2 chairs) AV and electrical not included and must be ordered and paid for by sponsor. Operations will provide AV contact.
  • Hanging single-sided banner at reception venue hung by pipe and drape (size no larger than 8'w × 5'h provided by sponsor. Must arrive at advance warehouse by deadline listed here.
  • Logo in GDC Play section of GDC Conference Program . Deadline listed here
  • Logo to appear on two 22"x28" thank you signs provided by Show management to be set up during reception if logo provided no later than deadline listed here
  • Two (2) All Access Passes
  • Three (3) GDC Play Staff Badges
  • Includes set allotment of $20,000 for food and beverage. GDC Show management will place the order for food and beverage based on 500ppl in consultation with the sponsor. If the sponsor wishes to add to the initial order onsite they are able to do so at own cost. The event will run from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
