GDC Mobile App Opportunities


Platinum Marketing Package - $18,000 (1 Available)

Sponsorship Deadline: TBD
  • Promoted as Mobile App Platinum Sponsor on GDC event website, onsite Event Guide, and Mobile App marketing materials
  • Exclusive logo exposure on the Splash Screen when the Mobile App loads
  • "Welcome to GDC" notifi cation message to Mobile App registrants. This exclusive opportunity is via the "geofencing capability" of the Mobile App. As Mobile App registrants near the GDC event they will receive the following message, "The GDC team and "Sponsor name" welcome you to GDC."
  • One (1) push notification message (100 character limit. Goes out to main screen of all Mobile App users). Message must be tied to an attendee benefit/giveaway
  • Three (3) promoted post (100 character limit). Promoted posts are pinned to the top of the app's "Community" page for one hour each day, from 11am-noon. Message must be tied to an attendee benefit/giveaway
  • One (1) Branded micro app in top quadrant of main nav (appears in flyout menu – one of the top four larger icons). Micro app icon can appear as company logo and link to mobile friendly webpage. Note: GDC Show Management can create a mobile friendly page promoting your booth/sponsored session if needed.
  • Two (2) custom badges that are unlocked when someone "checks in" to your booth and/or sponsored session within the mobile app
  • Mobile App Survey: Gain valuable insight about your company, product, booth & session. Ask attendees registered on the mobile app three (3) to five (5) questions (Yes/No, Open Ended, Multiple Choice or a combination of each).
  • Sponsor logo on mobile app download page (e.g. app.gdconf.com)

  • Promoted as Mobile App Gold Sponsor on GDC event website, onsite Event Guide, and Mobile App marketing materials
  • One (1) Branded micro app on first page (appears on home menu screen with the "event brand" icons). Micro app icon can appear as company logo and link to mobile friendly webpage. Note: GDC Show Management can create a mobile friendly page promoting your booth/sponsored session if needed.
  • One (1) push notification message (100 character limit. Goes out to main screen of all Mobile App users). Message must be tied to an attendee benefit/giveaway. Only 1 sponsor push message per day (push message based on availability)
  • One (1) custom badges to promote booth or sponsored session

The event splash page appears the first time the app is launched and provides exclusive logo visibility to the Platinum Sponsor.

Sponsored Micro App

Micro apps are icons that appear on the main screens of the mobile application, such as, "Full Agenda", "Exhibitors", and "Participants". A sponsor micro app can appear as a company logo and open to a mobile friendly page of sponsors choice (ideal for promoting products, services, booth #, sponsored sessions, parties etc.).

Sponsored Badge

Badges are earned when a user "checks into" a particular location at the event ("check in" is similar to foursquare). This could be at an exhibitors booth or sponsored session. Checking into a location unlocks the badge, and then the user is told they earned a badge and shown the name, graphic and description of the badge.

Push Notifications

Push notifications are messages instantly sent to all the mobile app users. The push notification appears as pop-up message on mobile phones – it's similar to receiving a text message from a friend. It can be a very effective way to drive traffic to your booth, or remind everyone that a sponsored session or party is about to begin. Note that the display and behavior of the notification may vary from device to device based on user settings and the phone operating system.
